Application Process


If you would like to submit an application for one of our programs we would like to make you aware of the following criterias: 

  • The age limit for applicants is 35 years

  • You must have at least 3 years of professional experience as a chef or service professional, provided you have completed an officially accredited apprenticeship

  • You must have at least 5 years of professional cooking or service experience, if you have not completed an accredited apprenticeship in the gastronomy sector

  • Applications for scholarships may be submitted only twice a year during specific enrollment periods. Our registration portal will be open throughout March and September every year. Applications that are submitted after the respective deadlines will not be accommodated

  • Only complete applications will be accepted

  • Applicants who receive a rejection notice are not permitted to submit a new application until a full calendar year has passed since their denial and

  • Scholarship contributions will be awarded only for advanced academic training in the gastronomic industry.

To apply, please submit the following documents to the attention of the foundation:

  • Application Form

  • List of chefs / restaurants / producers

  • Motivation letter

  • Curriculum vitae

  • Copies of your school certificates and letters of recommendation from your professional background

  • List of assets (copies of statements of account for the previous calendar year) and

  • A copy of your most recent tax return

What we expect from our scholarship recipients

  • Weekly report on the achieved learning results – this may be submitted in the form of a diary

  • Upon completion of the program or semester an overall report comprising at least 20 pages on what has been experienced and

  • The creation and production of a product at the end of the program which will be sold and will partially fund a successor candidate for a scholarship.

After successful graduation from the program, each scholarship recipient will receive a Certificate issued by the Fundaziun Uccelin
