The Uccelin Foundation Supports Smiling Gecko in Cambodia

Andreas Caminada explains the background of the funding initiative as follows: "Hannes Schmid is Swiss and he has a a meaningful and motivational vision. We admire what he and his team have created in Cambodia with tireless commitment and many ideas. With the scholarship holders of our Uccelin Foundation, we want to support Smiling Gecko in the best possible way.”

Through the cooperation, Uccelin graduates can be deployed as mentors and trainers in Cambodia for an additional 6 to 12 weeks after their regular 20-week Uccelin-programme.

Thanks to the generous support of the Thomas Abegg Stiftung für Geist und Kultur, this transfer of knowledge is possible. The foundation supports the cooperation by ensuring the "further education allowances" of the scholarship holders during their time with Smiling Gecko.
