About the Uccelin Foundation

Sarah and Andreas Caminada created Uccelin Foundation in 2016 with the aim of promoting motivated chefs and service enthusiasts.

“It is very important to us to individually foster ambitious talent in the gastronomic industry by providing financial and mentoring support. We founded the Uccelin Foundation before the challenging time in the gastronomy sector and today we are pleased that the foundation's work is bearing fruit and that we have already been able to accompany over 60 scholarship holders."

About us

We build bridges between gastronomic talents and our partners. In this way, we ensure that curiosity and passion meet know-how and experience. During the five-month programme, we are always there for our scholarship holders. Just like the partner restaurants and producers they have chosen.

Some facts

  • Within the framework of our tailor-made foundation programmes, we send our scholarship holders out into the big, wide world of culinary arts, to leading restaurants and producers on every continent.

  • We have implemented over 60 foundation programmes up to and including today.

  • Currently our partners include over 70 restaurants worldwide. They host the scholarship holders for 4 weeks.

  • Uccelin Foundation has more than 30 partner producers who give the scholarship holders an insight during one week.

  • Private donors and patrons are essential to finance the foundation's work. The Uccelin Foundation organises at least one charity event every year, which is essential for the implementation of the foundation's programmes.

  • At the end of the scholarship programmes, the Uccelin-scholarship holders create a final product with the aim of generating further income through the product. To date, there are three Uccelin products on sale.
